ARCR
& Intercultura
|
When someone plans to visit, &
especially move to a new country, it is essentially important
to learn to communicate in the language of that country.
Even simply attempting to speak the local language can greatly
improve your experience with the culture & the people.
ARCR has always recommended that anyone planning on living in
Costa Rica should learn the language. Though some people think
"How can I ever learn SPANISH" which seems like a
monumental task, we simply tell them this..."Don't think
about the whole language, just try to learn three simple words
per day at least. As these three words per day increase
your ability to communicate, you will soon find learning
easier, and even more enjoyable" and three words a day is
much easier to picture.
The school Until now ARCR has never directly endorsed any specific school, but after discovering the program
offered by Intercultura, the directors were very
impressed. The teachers are not only professional,
but are required to maintain a level of excellence (as
reported by the actual students) while teaching courses that
have been designed by the school themselves.
Furthermore we at ARCR feel that immersion in local culture is
an extremely important aspect in a new country, and we were
impressed to find an institution that feels the same.
Intercultura actually helps the students to understand &
experience it in several different ways, and this can be seen
as much in the curriculum as in 'outside' activities..
